I graduated from The Johns Hopkins University last week!
I am so grateful for the support of so many mentors who have supported me with my disability advocacy and neuroscience research journey including Tessa McKenzie, Kathy Cahill, Dr Amanda Brown, and Amanda Lauer!
Some other major accomplishments I achieved during the month of May include:
– Winning the Outstanding Public Health Student Award alongside the amazing Cleo Bluthenthal
– Winning the Top 100 Women of Maryland Circle of Excellence Scholarship from The Daily Record
This summer, I will be a research intern with the Michigan Medicine MDisability team. I will be making patient information accessible for patients with sensory disabilities and ensuring that autonomous vehicles are accessible for people with disabilities. After that, I will be starting my MSc in Applied Digital Health with the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences – University of Oxford in October with the support of the Rhodes Trust!
